what have you bought on bleep.com? (don't answer if you
haven't)

just bought my first records from there, all from dmx krew's
label breakin records.

(BRK7) Unknown - Jimmy's Lazer Beat
(BRK666) Malefic - Doomed!
(BRK4) Mandroid - Retrospect

they are rare, or deleted. were only available on vinyl too.
so it's really nice having the option to buy them online.

the Key Nell remixes.

and freeform's "prowl EP".

I would buy Jega's SKA006 if Skam EVER put it up.

and what's with all the Franz Ferdinand stuff? like they
don't have enough outlets already.

Malefic - Doomed! got some cool breakcore tunes. drilla
killa, and doomed!. the remix (doomed!) is evilish electro
:)

Unknown - Nightmare is fun

"can't afford an 808, but i got a 303. it sounds pretty cool
to me"
"can't afford jack shit! can't afford jack shit!"
"nightmare. nighnighnigh-nightmare"

I got Something J / DJ Maxximus - Mercedes Bentley vs
Versace Armani (WAP152), just to try out Bleep.
I think it's an excellent way of getting to hear deleted
stuff, like that Keynell Remix, without having to spend alot
of dosh and feeling (a bit) guilty

A happy compromise between the guilt of paying to much for
cds and the guilt of downloading from p2p

at the time, it looked like another silly forced
exclusivity-thing to me, a trend that has plagued the
electronic music world for decades now.

i haven't heard any official statement from warp, but i
think Dickie demanded to have them taken down. maybe he
wanted the HABs to be special or something,

i think Bleep should offer more obscure stuff, like the ep7
hidden track or the mixes that where only available on the
Basscadet 10" box set. Maybe some exclusive stuff too, like
mixes. That would make me want to spend more money there,
instead of blowing it all away on vinyl from Warpmart.

exclusivity? for mp3's? but mp3's are so... uncool!

i agree wholeheartedly. i have just emailed warp to make you
head of marketing.

i'm not sure how the hab's are made "special" by allowing
people to only hear them on vinyl discs or digital files
made from the discs. any "specialness" has long evaporated,
i'm afraid...

could it have been to do with the samples?

I just bought
Ammon Contact - One in an infinity of Ways (ZENCD99)

Bleep may begin to be used more since I use my iPod heavily
and I am sick of ripping off artists :)
