alright a hella lot of you people are really talented when
it comes to making electronica - but you must've started off
somewhere... So when it comes to starting to use reason,
what resources and guides are there out there that you can
point to as being helpful?

just pick it up as you go along. seriously. just keep
playing with it and exploring everything. just remember
there is often a lot more ways thant one to do something.
thats how i learnt to use it. i guess reading tutoirals and
stuff is always a good start. but its a really boring and
uninteresting way of learning how to use it.

yea, i don't want to learn EVERYTHING about reason from
reading - i just want to learn the basics; how to enter in
beats and melodies (although i think the reason this never
worked for me with versions of reason and floops i had
before is because i didn't have the full thing with all the
samples and so nothing would play)

I'm kind of in the same position, I just need to get the
time to jerk about in it so I can actually get somewhere.
Thanks for the reasonstation.net link mister plaster

First RTFM, then learn and excercise how to produce own
samples and sounds.
And move that fucking cables behind!!! It's alive!

i never used manuals, too much technical words i dont
understand. the best way is to make and listen, learning on
your own mistakes. try from simpliest things, beat patterns
in redrum, play with some buttons. dont try to build a track
at first time u use reason. rather check whats here and
there.

i use only reason 2.5, nothing more.
