The Cut Radio Project Hi there, As some of you know, I am the host of a 2 hour weekly electronic music radio program on WPVM 103.5 in Asheville. I want to do something special next week for the show that will air December 5th. In addition to providing progressive news and information, part of the mission of this organization is to showcase independent musicians and to highlight artists who may otherwise have no voice on the airwaves. In that spirit, I am inviting you to participate in next week’s program by composing a song within 6 days to be aired on my radio show. The goal is to have enough submissions to fill the entire 2 hour program. Here are the rules: * Song must be composed after 11/28/04 – no old tracks please * Try to keep the songs less than 10 minutes please * Content of the song can not violate current FCC guidelines (no dirty lyrics/samples) * Links to tracks can be emailed to thecut@wpvm.org – my email account can not handle large attachments. * Songs must be in mp3 format, encoded at no less that 128kbps That’s it. If I think of any other guidelines, I’ll post them here. Please feel free to forward this message to any other electronic music message boards you may participate in. Please include the following information in your email: Project Name: Title: Your Name: Country: Short Bio if you like.. or links I will accept submissions up until the time the show begins (Sunday, December 5th 10pm EST) . If you submit a song, then it will most likely play on the program. However, if I am overwhelmed with submissions, then it may be necessary to pick and choose what is aired. yes, hello, when you say "Songs must be in mp3 format, encoded at no less that 128kbps" does that mean it can also be a higher quality, because, well, frankly, 128k/s sounds shit. |
