It is pretty good. BUT I think I like Fake Can Be Just As Good and Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons much more.
Also, they are quite good live or something.

i haven't heard this new album yet, but i like some of their older albums. in an expression of the inexpressible is a great album overall. i saw them live about 3 years ago and they were indeed very good...

for me
the s/t album and "la vita violenta" remain the best BR albums
haven't really payed a lot of attention to "misery..." yet, but it's on my HD
live they're excellent.

i just got this yesterday. it's really great. i instantly loved the obvious tracks - elephant woman, misery, eqvvs... the only negative thing is the guy's singing isn't quite up to par with their older material, imo. otherwise i am really enjoying it a lot.

hahaha... if your friend likes avant-indie-pop and can afford to buy a really good cd by a really good band, why not? this is the most polished and developed of their albums, imo. i think it's overall their best musically. their other records sound much different, and some of them have just amazing songs on them, but this one is the most solid, i think.

if your friend also likes romantic music - he would like this - i ended up loving it at the beginning to now only picking it up on raining days as it is quite a downer, but thats just me. also i am quite an electronic music fiend right now and almost cant be bother with other types.

That's like a double coincidence. I think that means we're soul mates.
