[spam] Two Songs From May

Hi there, here are two songs I wrote in May '04 that had
been stuck on Acidpro, until I recently bypassed an mp3
plugin problem. If you've got some free minutes (4 all
together for both), give 'em a listen, and if you'd like,
let me know what you thought of them.

Hey & Oh Snap

Thanks!

both of these are pretty neat! i dig these... both worth
checking out, although i prefer oh snap a bit more, with
those glitchy breaks.

Thanks! Oddly enough I'm a bit biased with Hey because I
wrote it on a particularly happy day, but I'd have to agree
with those breaks at the end of Oh Snap; they were fun to
work with.

These were excellent! Sorry, I can't give you and kind of
worthwhile feedback, because I'm really lazy and dumb. They
were excellent, that is all.

More people should definitely have a listen. And don't
forget to hear the wonderful "house volume" while you are
there.

Thanks, Horsefactory, your endorsement is (as always)
greatly appreciated. I missed Wisp's post when I tried
bumping this the other day. Coming from that fella, dang.

hey is fantastic, i love the sample in there that says "hey"
its perfect man, perfect. the only thing i didnt really care
for was the introduction, i think you could have started
this one out mroe traditionally and been fine. but that is
most likely just my preference, im too much of a purist for
my own good.

it seems like you are consistently doing some quality work,
and it shows with oh snap. im not usually into glitchy
material, but this is pulled of well. i agree that hey is
the standout between the two.

cheers to you and keep it up man!

I like Oh Snap lots, nice cutting and breaks. Gels together
pretty smoothly I think. I'm listening rrreally quiet atm
cos it's late but will defos listen to it more.

i liked "hey," very listenable and sweet, upbeat melody.
i'd like to hear it elaborated into a more complete form.
very enjoyable.

"oh snap" didn't have as pleasing a melody, a good track but
stylistically not my thing...

"house volume" sounds like a demo, but a really great demo.
i really like what you've done with the percussion, it's got
a nice loose feel (almost an epic rock vibe) and the melody
is sad and sweet. glad to've heard it... the ending is a
painful wimpus interruptus...

as far as feedback goes, it's probably not too helpful to
just say i liked your track, or i didn't like your track,
but i've never gotten much useful advice from the board so i
just assume that you'll be somewhat interested to hear what
some stranger had to say about your work...

Both are really awesome, i love the happy mood that hey
gives off. Great stuff!

These are pretty good. Of the two, i think i prefer "oh
snap", that sudden kick from the clean synth melody into
drill breaks is really quite nice. "Hey" is decent as well,
but although it's got a vaguely similar palate of sound, it
feels more "anonymous" somehow. I dunno.

P.S. "House Volume" is still totally excellent and i listen
to it on a regular basis. <3
