A better bit torrent?

I think i am using the generic run of the mill bit
torrent.

I am downloading @ 11kbps
I am uploading @ 45kbps

I need something way better. I would be fine with a 50/50
ratio but this is fucked up.

I have already uploaded around 6 gig.

PLEASE HELP!!!

I think in the latest version of azureus you can limit your
upload speed.

i'm not a huge fan of the most recent azureus version.

i think it's 2.2.0

seems to be a huge memory hog.

but I find it to be very good. this

it's probably slow due to not many other people
uploading/seeding. (this isn't hl2, is it? :-)

ooh, yeah, i'd actually forgotten about that one. i'll give
it a try.

i'm just kinda sick of azureus eating up so much ram.

azureus eats ram? i'm running it on my system now; there's
about a dozen torrents seeding, two downloading, and i'm
using 1,820K (plus java, which is using about 20MB, but
that's to be expected).

hmm... the javaruntime for azureus eats buttloads of ram on
my computer. like 60 megs, and sometimes the client will
bog down completely. it even gave me the first blue screen
of death i've ever had on this computer a week or so ago.

maybe something's just borked with my install. but, before
i upgraded to the most recent version it didn't seem to run
so shittily.

i run it on osx, linux, and windows, and haven't noticed it
eats up too much ram. java is a bit of a pig but it's
nothing unbearable given your system has >192mb ram.

i need to get my linux machine back up and running. i
reinstalled gentoo and fucked up somewhere along the line.
i'm getting a kernel panic in grub. but, dammit, i really
don't want to go through the entire install process again.
