Many of you on usm may know about the song 46+2 (a
masterpiece!) by tool. In fact many of you may also know the
theory behind it, but for those of you who don't, and even
those looking to read about a theory on humans and
evolution, then read this! It is an edited and much
shortened version of a writing done on a website,
InnuendoCornecopria.com Its so interesting!

(to start off...)There are three totally different kinds of
humans on the Earth, meaning that they perceive the One
reality in three different ways, interpreted differently.
The first kind of human has a chromosome composition of
42+2. They comprise a unity consciousness that does not see
anything outside themselves as being separate from
themselves. To them, there is only one energy - one life,
one being ness that moves everywhere. Anything happening
anywhere is within them, as well. They are like cells in the
body. They are all connected to a single consciousness that
moves through all of them. These are the aboriginals in
Australia. There might be a few African tribes left like
this. Then, there is our level, comprising 44+2 chromosomes.
We are a disharmonic level of consciousness that is used as
a steppingstone from the 42+2 level to the next level,
46+2...These two additional chromosomes change
everything...

Currently, human beings are in the second level of
consciousness, 44 and 2, but shortly they are expected to
evolve in the next level. Supposedly, ascended masters have
prepared the path for humans to change. 1998, was in fact,
supposed to be when the change occurred. However, it looks
like it might be postponed several years due to the
abominable state of the world. For one to enter the 46 and 2
state, it seems it would take a mental and spiritual change.
(Opening your third eye if you will.) It would require one
to have a deep understanding of the world, themselves, and
their consciousness. Most people are unaware that some
people have vowed to change themselves and move up a level.

Within the nucleus of virtually all of the cells in our body
we have 46 chromosomes. Scattered along these are the 30,000
or so genes that provide instructions to make you. Your
white blood cells, brain cells, skin, liver and heart cells
all contain the same chromosomes with the same set of genes.
(There are a few exceptions. Our red blood cells lose their
nucleus, so have no chromosomes at all. But they did start
their lives with 46 chromosomes.)

Where do our chromosomes come from?
In fact they come in pairs and we receive one of each pair
from each of our parents. Our chromosomes come in sets of 23
and we inherit one set from each parent. All of your
mother's cells also had 46 chromosomes. There is one
important exception though. The egg cells produced by her
were produced by a special form of cell division, called
meiosis that left them with only one set of chromosomes, 23
in number. The same applies for your father, except that it
was his sperm that only had 23 chromosomes (men don't
produce eggs!)

Did you know?
There are some animals and plants that CAN produce both eggs
and sperm. They are called hermaphrodites.
Snails are a good example. When they mate the two snails
swap their sperm that then fertilise eggs in both of them.
BOTH end up being a snail type of pregnant!

When an egg is fertilised by a sperm the two sets of 23 make
46 again, but the chromosomes, and therefore the genes, are
a mixture from both parents. The fertilised egg or zygote
then divides billions of times to produce more cells that
will eventually form you, all having the same 46
chromosomes. This type of cell division is called mitosis.
Before each division the cell makes an identical copy of
each chromosome so that each new cell also has the same set
of chromosomes, therefore the same genetic information.

46 and 2 just ahead of me

that's fun, but a total load of rubbish. it's nice for
elitist hippies to pretend that by being spiritual they will
somehow grow extra chromosomes and be more highly evolved
than the rest of us, but i don't believe it.

one of the things that has, unfortunately, made me sick of
tool was this aura of mystery that they built around
themselves. they probably did it so that people would think
about different theories for themselves or whatever, but
what you're left with is fan sites dedicated to deciphering
the meanings of their lyrics to unlock the secrets of the
universe. it's a metal band! get over it.

pretty good, but the shit they've crapped out the past month

yeah that way we could put other stuff on the CD and make it
useful.

His time is up and he is no longer useful. Wouldnt be
surprised to see another Tool album surface though.

i never liked that much "scientifiscism" in the lyrics (not
only in Tool, also in Einstürzende Neubauten, At The
Drive-In/The Mars Volta....), it always sounds like random
crap to make them sound interesting... but when the music is
good, i like it nonetheless. and 46&2 is fucking awesome.
play it loud. a powerful song. : )

me at all. it makes sense and doesn't sound too forced.)

i was under the impression that at the drive-in's lyrics
were just nonsense, dada-style cut and paste. but that's
just from my own experience in hearing their music. i've
never thought that their lyrics were supposed to be
rational...
