Has anyone ever sent an embarrasing/shitty demo to
rephlex?
I was just thinking about this. I totally did. I dont know
why. My shit from back in the day sucks ass.

Like it was some old time shitty material.

Gosh i am embarrassed.

i did. i sent all of my crap to them.
in fact i sent the cds to all kinds of places and no one
replied back to me except fat-cat records, but they say they
reply to everyone.

they probably just put them into some kind of furnace
anyway.

my friend who runs a very small label (by himself) gets over
100 demos/week. can you imagine how many demos Rephlex
receive ? ;)

Are these demo's related to the actual labels output, or are
they just people sending shit out to every record label they
hear of?

I must have done this 2-3-4 years ago.

I mean it must have all been done in a 1-2 week period.

The new shit that is underway has been worked on for 8/9
months.
I am such a foolish boy!

Sorry Rephlex!!

is this the stuff that you lost the masters/data or whatever
when your computer went bunk?
if so, maybe then you should ask them to send the disks
back, for posterity...

ahhaha! I found all of that stuff! You are quite awesome for
remembering that!

It was even older than that.

I think i just used Acid Pro 2 or something.

I was so excited about mixing various sounds together and
having an MP3 right there and it was mine. I didnt think
twice about originality/quality

well, i've never sent a demo to rephlex, but i have sent a
few bad demos in the past. it's pretty embarrassing to
think about... sending your music to someone who represents
something you really respect, and then in retrospect you
realise that your work sucked... but i guess it's pretty
common, so i can find solace in that. :)

Heh... the beauty of anonimity... you can send them new
demo's, and they won't even connect the old stuff to you.

Unless you insist on using the same name.

Who was it that read a fire escape routine over some
electonic music on rephlex?

buffalo"?

Taxidermist - some of the demos are related, but as you can
imagine people send their stuff everywhere, even if they
produce trance or progressive.
