i got my koss portapro headphones back from warranty service today. and holy fuck, music actually sounds good. i've been using a five-dollar bargain-bin pair of headphones, with the frequency range of a police siren -- the higher frequencies sound like those old pre-soundblaster 486 pc speakers, the lower frequencies sound like a cat is being stepped on. no fucking wonder i've been getting sick of music, oah, everything is so lush and atmospheric, i could eat the sounds.. yeah, these aren't world-class headphones or anything, but still a major upgrade. |
