After hearing quite a bit of good things about this fellow and hearing his influence on the fenn'oberg releases (well, after ruling out what was mainly fennesz and what was mainly pita) i've decided to give this guy a listen.
any recommendations? if so, please describe them.

My favourite is "Insignificance", which is a guitar singing music songs thing but if you want something that is in more of a similar vein to Fenn'oberg then try "I'm Happy and I'm Singing and a 1, 2, 3, 4" which is also amazing. You can't really go wrong with most of his stuff though, he's great!

Jim O'Rourke is the Best.
The Halfway to a Threeway EP is really amazing too. You should also listen to his work with Gastr del Sol, the album Camoufleur is Grate. And stuff.
And if you like drone or musique concrete or whatever, you probably should listen to Terminal Pharmacy or Tamper or something.
