what does it mean when the nominal output level for the headphone-output on my mixer is noted as "58 mW MAX (@ 47 ohm)"? I'm planning on getting sennheiser hd580 (300 ohm), and I don't know if the mixer (vestax pmc05 proIII) will drive them correctly... |

compare data to be sure, but usually headphones output jack are standarized so it should work ok |

yeah, but i've heard that these phones sound really bad when unamped or underpowered... however, since it is a mixer, I'd guess it already had quite a bit of power, but.. you never know... the thing is.. on another page in the manual it says "input any headset with 8-600 ohm impedance," but I think.. since it is such a wide range, it's just "this mixer CAN get sound from sets within this range, but it'll mostly suck above [so-and-so]" |
