Its a great station, everytime i go through chi, i always flip this on the radio. either that or "the drive" 97.1 which comes in 96.9 here but that totally doesnt matter. Either way great call! |

It is classic / timeless rock. I should have specified that. Sorry if you wind up disappointed. We get it up here in milwaukee and it is great, because if our classic rock station is playing things i dont like then i flip to the drive. It is a great balence. The only techno we get is in the form of a once a week three hour timeslot. Saturday from 9-midnight. on our indie station. |

hahah! "golden country" They play a lot of songs from popular bands (ie doors) that rarely get played here (roadhouse blues) because our station focuses too much on the same set list (over rated over popular beetles songs) :D |

this is the radio station of northwestern university, i used to listen to the hardcore show when i was a teenager in the mid late eighties. they have a long upstanding tradition of musical adventurousness, but the broadcast signal is too weak. thank you internet!!! and jivverdicker... |

Thank you very much for that link. Not only am I around Chicago, so I'll have to tune in next time, but on one of the sets they had a version of "The Silicon Garden" by Redcell that I have never heard before. The Likemind EP's.....talk about rare. |
