ok guys and gals, i am just bored as piss here, but i
thought of doing a recommendations thread, how original.
only here since it is my thread, nyah nyah nyah, i only want
to be recommended electronic artists, on known record
labels, no underground labels were the stuff is impossible
to find, you got that!

Oh gee, Bola. I will recommend Autechre - they're on the
Warp label, have you heard of it?

...by the way, i understand why you want only known artists
(it's always kinda annoying to have to search for hours,
wait months etc. to get a record - even though when you have
it, you might feel even better?) but why only electronic
music? i hope you like other types of music too...

otherwise you'd be missing out : )

oh yes, i like other types, but i am really only looking for
electronic because this is xltronic dot com, no seriously, i
have lost favor with other types of music, doesnt mean that
i dont like others types, just currently not 'in' to them.

Autechre are, for me at leasty, the best machine wankers
ever and that´s quite a lot said for me. I believe some
others here could write you ten-page essays about them

Uzim, folks, could you mention some non-electronic artists
similar to Vangelis, Oldfield and William Basinski?

Can be something completely different also.

Mrgypsum, you should try Plaid and their most popular album
double figure.

I can't suggest alot of strange obscure artists.

Casino Vs Japan and Global Communication(esp. 76:14) are my
favorites. I also like The Cinematic Orchestra, but they
are only semi-electronic, I suppose.

Those are my staples.

better known ones that you like, maybe i have not heard of
them

Casino vs Japan are pretty popular on here

Sometimes, I say things that don't make much sense. I
didn't mean that the artists I was mentioning were obscure.
I just meant that I didn't think they were unknown enough to
not have been already mentioned plenty of times on this
board.... I think.

Supermechamaximegamegablast by Mortal & Chemist. Best
IDM I have heard in a while. It's only available from the
Skam shop though, but you could get it off me on Slsk.

As for something not electronic, I recommend the song
Seadrum by Boredoms. It is great.

Tim Hecker. Waggling his ass over the "woooh, Kerayzee
Noize" and "I AM FAN OF AUTWECHRRE IDM MUSIC" line. He's not
all that obscure.
