you can request a 'read recipt' with outlook.. and i'm not sure but i think thunderbird can do the same thing. that will confirm whether or not they recieved your email.
but, they're not 100% reliable because the recipient doesn't have to send it.
nothing that i know of, short of hacking their machine will tell you what they've done with it after they recieve it.

I'm going with NO
why am I going with NO
Well, because theres NO button that says "recieve a msg when receiver gets msg" so
I'm voting NO on question #1

In microsoft outlook 2000:
click 'new' to create a new message.
View > Options > 'Request a read reciept for this message'
i'm not sure how to do it in thunderbird, but i'm sure it's similar. plus thunderbird is free.
use thunderbird.

so, while it is possible to obtain the information I'm concerned about, it is most likely not possible to obtain this information on messages already sent if I didnt have the requisite tracking software at the time the message was sent?
isn't there some IP-monitoring thing I can get/do that logs all in and out activity w/ respect to my IP
