some people already know this album, but for those that
don't you should really check it out. it is probably my
favourite release of the year!

there that can create something as beautiful as this..

More beautiful than the Deathprod and Tim Hecker releases?
My interest is peaked...

btw, qrter i think you might like this one...it's a bit like
that freeform (with ambient sounds) release...only 1000 x
better.

I'm tired of "beautiful" music.

it's not beautiful like that man... trust me... Jeck and
Schaefer fashion beauty out of ugliness...

Dutch radio made a recording of a live performance Philip
Jeck at the Sonic Arts festival on the 25th of september.

click here, then click on the speaker-icon to hear he
complete 40-minute set.

(I must say I wasn't impressed by it)

one. it doesn't seem as mindblowing as the description on

going to give it a try - if i like it i hope that i dont go

cool all at once.

i would like that too actually...too much stuff laying
around that i need to listen to properly. but if the pace of
releasing new albums is going to continue like this i don't
know what im going to do.

Sweet holy allah. Ordering 9 albums a DAY? You, tolstoyed,
must be the sultan of brunei or something. I'm being
frivolous if i buy 4 or 5 albums a month.

And also: please stop recommending music, man! It's making
me feel really really ignorant about Dese Here New
Electronikk Soundsz.

Well no, don't. But between you and deadeight, i barely need
to read the wire. My plan-to-buy list is swelling faster
than yasser arafat's medical bill. It's awesome but a bit
embarassing.

This album could easily be the release of the year. From
what i have heard so far i have been overly enthusiastic
about it

before tolstoyed, i bought afx albums, go to cinema and have
some friends.

after tolstoyed, i have plenty of albums to listen, not
enough time for them all and no money to go out...

thank you mate, i love tim hecker.

haha :)
that was an exception really..it's been like 3 or 4 monts
since the last time i've ordered that much in one day..i'd
still do it on regular basis if i had that much money though
haha. instead im downloading much much more than i used to -
im going to get some of those when my financial state
improves..

vp, this one and 'real gone' are my favourite of the year so
far..

melack, at the rate afx is releasing albums you'd be a
wealthy man by now :)

ye, just joking...
and afx has plenty of albums when you have none...
what i really meant is that you help me to introduce to not
typical artist like afx, ae, etc... lots of new albums that
ive tried to get when my financials let me to... and that
was nice (not for my pockets but oui for my ears, takk).

This is fantastic music, immediately lovely but also
challenging and unpredictable. Tolsty, is jeck's solo
material as good as this?

yesh Stoke is finest.... Surf and Seven are also fairly
cool... Schaefer has a few solo albums of interest also...
i'm not up to date on his latest stuff, but i can vouch for
the quality of Above Buildings and Pulled Under.

makes me feel all sleepy and peaceful. My fave track is the
last one which happily is the longest.

btw, i just lent stokes to some mate today..the one that
appreciates vocal music only..but he asked me to bring him
some instrumental albums i think are good.
