Anyone here from Milwaukee know of any good clubs or bars with experimental music, drum and bass, glitchy noise, or something ? I am new to Milwaukee and I know that there are a lot of musicians of that style who are from here, but I have not actually found that many live shows like that here. Zod records is based out of Milwaukee and I think a few other underground labels that I forgot the names to. But I haven't seen that many shows like that around here. It would be great if I could play an open mic nite or something in a gritty hidden cafe in Riverwest or something. This board seems really neat but not a lot of people don't put down their location and I would use the search feature but it's down. If anyone could help me out that would be ice cold. Stank you, smelly much as Andre 3000 would say. |

Aphexisatwin is from port washington. I am milwaukee located. I was told that club anything has a night for electronic stuff but i could be wrong. Aphexisatwin was starting an IDM night at his bar but i dont know if that fell through |

.25 tappers is always a good thing :) I ran into a person who said that they have an electronic nite at The Rave off Wisconsin Ave. The name really puts me off so I haven't gone to check up on that. BUT, Skinny Puppy is going to be playing there soon! And their new album owns all. I haven't seen Skinny Puppy live, I hear that they do some ill things live so I can't wait. |

It would be great if it still was open, I'll check today and write back my findings. I just find it odd that Milwaukee has so many experimental musicians and independent labels but there are not that many live outlets here. |
