i have the remedy

"Experts launched an appeal asking people to donate unwanted
cats, in the hope of recruiting an attack force of up to 700
animals.

In the end, however, they only managed to rustle up a mere
50 cats. "

It's fucking gay.
1. "intelligent". Doesn't mean shit.
2. "dance". This is what we call "gay".
3. "music". OH, it needs the word 'music' in it to remind
people that it is actually music? What other genre has
'music' in it's name?
Stupid.

You obviously fail. All of those can be used alone without
the 'music' part.

offline r40f from qrters tea party on 2004-10-30 13:16 [#01376847]

yeah, but the "m" is the anchor. you can't just call it
"ID" - you have to say the whole thing, "Intelligent Dance
Music".

if someone asked you what you were listening to and you
said, "I... D..." you'd sound slow. but add the M and
you've got an instant genre and you sound like a
music-professional. "wow, sounds cool - do you write for
spin now?" brilliant - the envy of all your friends! no
problem!

that is, until they say, "what's that stand for?" and you
sheepishly admit that you are listening to something called
"intelligent dance music". then you have to awkwardly
explain that it isn't necessarily intelligent... and it
isn't necessarily dance... but it's definitely music, heh
heh... this sucks, let's go listen to stoner rock.
