Would you rather be deaf of blind?
I'd choose deafness. Mozart still got his shit on.

deaf would be the more sensible choice but living a life
without sound would be horrrible.

Deaf - more intellectual pleasures: reading, watching
movies, going to art galleries.

Blind: Better and more active sex life. 100% invalidity
insurence.

Mmmhhhh decisions decisions...

Besides beethoven went deaf I belive, not mozart...

Wait, wait, how do you figure blind=>better+more active sex
life? Just that because you can't see who you're fucking,
you'll be less picky?

I'd choose deafness, I suppose.

fame from peoples pity.

both so I could be alone in my head =o)

Do blind people see the images in their dreams? If so, what
do people that have been blind all their lives see?

It would have to be deafness. Not being able to walk about
without hindrance would be a pain in the ass. There's also
the issue that porn is a lot better when you can see it.

a few weeks ago i was sitting at a 4 way stop behind another
car, who happened to pull way out into the cross walk. this
blind lady comes strutting down the cross walk with her cane
and bumps into the asshole, smiles and waves and walks
around him in the intersection...blind would be tough, i
really like music and all, but i would lose all the fun of
getting dressed.

I've had a few blind customers call up with those talking
computers and they whizz around it faster that most people
with 20/20 vision do ! They rock

Type talk (deaf) customers are a pain though

the worst is when i know what the person is doing wrong, but
i'm not allowed to interject in any way! frustrating! lots
of times they type like they're using their nose or
something, too.

well, i work for an ip relay service, so really it is
available to anybody with a computer and an internet
connection..so do we ever! tons of nigerian scammers...they
order tons of merchandise with fake credit cards posing as
deaf people. lots of people fall for it; there are even
forums all about this stuff online. plus teenagers who want
to prank call their friends, or make the operator swear and
say sexy stuff or whatever. pretty obnoxious. but it's a
nice service for the deaf/hoh/speech disabled, because they
can use it with their mobile pages as a sort of cell phone
thing.

That's a reason...

Also because women usually feel more sorry for blind guys
than for deaf ones...

Also women will be more friendly with you as they won't
think that you are talking to them just because they have
boobies.

Also you won't know if you are good looking or not, thus
making you much more confident on that side. (Besides that
such confince will count double as you are an invalid)

No one will blame you for not having a sense of style.

You'll never make the mistake of looking at another girl's
ass.

Being blind creates this barrier that neutralizes all of
women's defense mechanisms. You are not a guy trying to hit
on her but just someone that wants to talk and that
eventually can fall in love with her.

Obviously these are stereotypes.

I'd prefer deafness, if it came to that. More of my
interests can be enjoyed without sound than without vision.
Life would also be slightly less dangerous.

I think it's a moot point anyway, since I'd probably be
driven to suicide if I couldn't listen to music anyway.

Only about 5% of blind or visually impaired people can
actually read braille anyway. My mum used to work at a
centre for the blind, and old blind people lead pretty
depressing lives from what i've seen. It basically revolved
around knitting and waiting to die, interspersed with
incontinence.

if i had to choose, i could live without the visual aspects
of the world, i however, would want one more night of vision
i could say goodbye to all of the great sights, movies, my
wife and family, and as much smutty porn as i could
download.
