I'll wait for a decent version to come out on the Xbox! But
nevertheless I am intrigued and impressed by what I have
heard so far. I spent hours and hours on the previous games,
and am looking forward to this.

This game is disgustingly awesome. I got 100% progress with
denise and i got her car and a pimp suit. I am dating
Michelle right now and that is tougher. I worked my ass off
to open up all three cities and now i am going to sit back
and unlock various things.

I might do all the tags, horseshoes and oysters.

I also have near $2,000,000 from gambling at the casino. I
bet $50,000 by accident on video poker and i won with a full
house.

I bet $90,000 on a horse with 12/1 odds and won! W00t!

I had control over almost all of los santos save for that
motel and the bike park.. but after the sellout/exile
episodes, I control nothing and the ballas run shit .. does
it go back to those turf wars again? that shit was
uuwwwwsum!

by the way.. I'm still on the first city.. and I acidentally
made it passed the bridge barriers to the las vegas of this
game's world and swam ashore only to get an immediate 4-star
warning level.. swat teams descended from 3+ helicopters..
police vehicles in full force, and police boats.. one of
which I climbed aboard in a futile attempt to stay alive in
this mess - I blew the driver's head off.. took the wheel
and was pretty quickly taken out by the other gun boats and
the helicopters' m-16s . I must've ended up in the groom
lake/area 51 of this city - wink.

how cool is the third city? I've only seen like literally
one street in san fierro so there's still a lot for me to
explore.

as cool as this game is and VC was, I look at all of these
as precursors to more fully-realized games.. SA is really
only suggesting things w/ the attributes, girlfriends,
eating, property ownership etc.. there is more depth to be
added to these things and the experience of future
versions.. just think what the next next-gen iterations of
this series will offer..

one last thing.. I got my ps2 when they were "released" but
not consistantly available in the entire US (not legally
imported?) in mid-2001. my "console version" is like 1.2
something.. I know there must've been some upgrades in that
- what version are they up to now esp. w/ the new "psTwo" ?
I know the ps2 isn't exactly the BEST dvd player u could ask
for, but it can't play a lot of new dvds and I'm guessing
it's the dated processor/console that's at fault for this??

I did that other city escape thing. It's awesome fun. I
found a mountain bike and just went whizzing around while
the police chased me. I died.

this game is the fucking bomb. I cant stop playing it. My
girlfriend (who lives with me) is getting somewhat
frustrated. I DONT CARE, it RULES. Im stuck in a bunch of
mountains at the moment, chasing couriers in hum-vees to get
their money. HA. My character is a big bastard, but i lost
all my money when i lost my turf. DOH. I got some back by
earning money for the psycho latino woman. I LOVE THIS GAME.
The end.

and apparently when you get really good at using a weapon,
it lets you use two at the same time. Nice.

Yeah, when you get to hitman level with a type of weapon,
you can wield some dual. Not every weapon, but some cool
ones, including the sawed off shotgun (I don't think I'll
ever get that one... I barely ever use shotguns). I've got
hitman status with micro machine guns, and man, it cuts
through motherfuckers like a hot knife through butter.
Unstoppable.

I'm taking this game far too slowly for someone who will be
playing Half-Life 2 imminently. OH SHIT MY EYES!

i have been playing it for almost a week now, just about all
the time..

when the game started to feel just alittle bit boring, then
things changed and it started to get really fun again, i
have just done some buisness in las venturas and now i have
gotten my brother out of jail and im in los santos to take
back my hood!

feels nice to get back to the hood after all the big town
stuff!

I slowed down so i wouldnt beat the game right away. You are
way ahead of me. I just got the jet pack and i am going to
use it to get all the tags and horseshoes

*******************

If you have a mountain bike, hold square and tap x really
fast. (odd glitch)

haha, cool

jetpack is kinda nice, but wait untill you get the jet plane
!!! homing missiles and massive speed =D!! + you can set it
to some sort of hover mode

maybe i spoiled alittle but.. it's so cool =D

you got allot of really fun missions ahead of you, i was
kinda bored with the casinos first missions but after that
theres some really cool missions.

I got like.. 2 horse shoes haha, i think i will get into
that later when im more "finished" with the game, i like to
have something to do that involves driving around in the
beutiful country

I actually haven't played this game in about 35 hours... I
still can't find it for sale, and I took it back to
Blockbuster a while ago. I'll be calling around tonight, I
need it. Been finishing up Vice City in the meantime, never
did mop that game up.

In San Andreas, I'm at the part where you buy the airport
for whatshisface. I loved that race through the desert in
the monster truck.

Anyone notice the character (Fido/Claude?) from GTA3 at the
race with Catalina? I also heard Tommy Vercetti was in this,
and Ken Rosenberg...

Ken Rosenberg and Kent paul. Tommy is not. Fido was classic,
totally didnt say anything!! :D!!!

I own the airfield. Two player jet pack rocks!

Same here. Im sure you get back into the whole territory
aspect. Its too fun for them to use if for a small
percentage of the game only.

I know it's not a required mission, but does anybody have
any tips for beating the "Supply Lines" mission for Zero.
where you fly the little remote control bi-plane and shoot
the couriers??

it's fucking impossible i tell ya!

offline theo himself from +- on 2004-11-18 17:47 [#01399473]
Points: 3348 Status: Regular

be patient?

that mission was THE biggest pain in the ass ..EVER. after
you blow up all the couriers you have to bring it back!!?
why??

as soon as you fly off the roof start shooting. the driver
will get out of the car and you just need to kill him ..
which is pretty easy. then go STRAIGHt. not to the guy on
the bike.. but get the van north of the one you just shot up
and try to get it before it makes its turn & its way down
that perp. road. then get the guy on the bike.. the
difficult part is the long flight to the other side of the
city (practically). there are two people on a moto. that
you have to kill.. keep a good distance from them b/c for
some reason they're the hardest one to get without taking a
good amt. of damage.

sometimes flying up/down/up/swoop down saves fuel.. it might
move you along quicker.. maybe not though.

just keep doing it though. the frustrating thing about it is
there isnt' anything you do that is really that different
from when you win or lose on that mission. a lot of times I
"failed" the mission when I was literally 1-2 seconds away
from landing on the roof.

Man, a lot of people are getting owned by Supply Lines. I
didn't bother with it because I don't want to deal with it.
It's not a mission you need to do to advance the storyline
anyway.

Now, ''The Driver'' mission from Vice City... that's a
mandatory mission that made me sob.

yeah, but it's a good feelin when you finally ace that one.
and Zero's becomes an asset and you can do remote bi-plane
mini game if you beat all 3 missions.

I got hitman level with pistols and sawnoff shotguns last
night.

BRAKING NEUS

When you buy the soundtrack, you get a 22 minute DVD that
outlines what happened before the game. A prequel. Cool
deal.

''Set just a few days before the game first begins, "The
Introduction" is told via the various viewpoints of several
important characters. Through this interweaving of
perspectives, fans will be able to grasp the sheer level of
corruption that's infested the LSPD thanks to Officer
Tenpenny's masterminding and come to understand the history
behind the Grove Street Families. Watchers will also learn
how the rift between Sweet and his brother CJ first came
about, and catch up with supporting characters like Ken
Rosenberg and Boss Leone.''

joint. How far into the game am I? I'm pretty sure I missed
alot of things, I never took over any territory with my
gang, never met my girlfriend that lived on the same
street,(although i did run through the missions with that
other anoying spanish chick), there must be other things.
