returning to the music topics i used to post and nobody
replied,
dont you think that this band is fucking amazing, combining
perfectly electronica and pop music with a personal and
original touch that blablabla...?

i must admit:
i LOVE them.
and their last album is incredible!

not that big fan...i like the singer though :)
i've seen them live and it was quite bad too. i still buy
their albums for some reason though.

i have accents in my keyboard... dónt yoù?
i need them for my lenguage...

accents are pretty close to enter in icelandic and spanish
for example. you get the accent by pressing it and then the
letter, don't think that it works with an english keyboard
though.

and yeah, múm is ok.

the only albums i've been listening to for the last two days
are remixed and yesterday was dramatic today is ok. i was
listening to yesterday.. when i saw this thread. never gave
this album proper listen until now, it's great.

my current favourites are smell memory, beautiful. (the bix
remix is also fantastic), the ballad of the broken birdie
records (ruxpin remix 1) and the original, i'm 9 today and
slow bicycle.

i'm not feeling their newest album, too vocal heavy. i've
listened to it once maybe. i will give it another chance
though.

who pronounces múm "mum"? well isn't that cute, but it's
wrong!

offline Atli from Reykjavík (Iceland) on 2004-10-27 12:19 [#01374032]
Points: 1309 Status: Lurker

most people think that the "´" is just an accent not
knowing that it's infact a totally different sound.

i just gave that bix mix a listen. it's pretty good. i
haven't got the cd on the cpu. i can't remember how the
original was.

hlustaðu á alla múm remixed plötuna. hún er geggjuð.
sérstaklega rupxin remix II af the ballad of the broken
birdie records, það er eitt flottasta lag sem íslensk
raftónlist hefur gefið af sér.

hægt var að fá á síðunni hans.

no, I don't like them much. I have their album please smile
my nose bleed and some remixes, or a single with some
remixes by different people. Nothing special about it.

Try the album that looks like a book......."Finally we are
no one" that's it.

and when you love it, then check "summer makes good" and you
will be able to enjoy it, as it is, imo, the other side of
the coin, the black side for the white 'finally...', the
consolidation of his style... mmm... i forgot what i was
going to say... noprob...

whatdahell! múm are good, fucking good!

yeah they are good, but lack a bit of dynamics...the melodies
are their best weapon.

Good stuff. I tried to get people listening when the album
came out but no one here gave a shit. A hidden gem I reckon.
Give it a while to grow on you and then you'll be hooked.

io non lo amo molto, e piu lento per me... sorry, im not
italian... no similar to mum imo, they use common
instruments and synth... they can be good and beautiful, but
what i love of múm is how they use sound and its
dinamics... and the strange childish feeling they transmit.

was one.

I saw Múm live some time ago and it was really good.
The singer semed a bit sensitive , she looked like she was
about to start crying every time she missed a note and the
other girl looked like a psycho, she stared at me for a long
time during one track and it was a bit unconfortable haha!.

They are awesome musicians , and everyone of them seems to
know how to play atleast eight different instruments or
something. The drummers style is different and nice.

Quernstone: I thought The Album Leaf was just one guy ?
