what are the chances you'll like movies that i like?

hmmmmmmm

most people liked "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind."

"motorcycle diaries" was good.

"capturing the friedmans" is very good but pretty
harrowing.

i wouldn't go out of your way to see "spellbound." it's a
documentary about kids in spelling bees (contests to spell
obscure and difficult words)...

dunno...but since i haven't seen any (perhaps one or two) of
those films yet, opinions might help :)

thanks!

You NEED to see 2046! This is most important.
Actually I need to see 2046 as well. I have no idea
if Garden State is any good, but it seems pretty nice. I
take it you've seen Cigarettes and Coffee and Eternal
Sunshine..? If not, you need to do so. There are some good
Swedish and Danish ones. I've benn told that Oldboy is quite
good. The documentaries like Spellbound, Supersize Me and
Capturing the Friedmans are worth checking out. Almodovar's
Bad Education, Ozon's 5x2. Oh and you need to see 2046!

spellbound is good, but i didn't think it would be such a
crowd pleaser. go with deepspace, if you will...

Ok, my two cents:

"Capturing the Friedman's" - Very great documentary. I've
seen it, so watch it and share your thoughts on the verdict.
Guilty or Bullshit charges? Horrible or heartbreaking.
Incredible film.

"2046" - Wow, I can't believe you get to see this. Wong
kar-Wai is probably my favorite living director. DO NOT MISS
IT! Tell me how it is. (Look out for the fantastic
cinematography of the great Chris Doyle)

"Eternal Sunshine" - Haven't seen it yet, but Gondry is
interesting. The screenplay is by the tremendous Charlie
Kaufman of Being John Malkovich and Adaptation fame.

i bought my tickets today!! 27 of them..although i'll only
get to see 15 different films - i wish they'd extend the
festival for another week, as it's a bit much to see couple
of films every day for two weeks. anyway, i'll get to see
most of the films i wanted to :)

If i would go i would see "The Beatiful Country" by my
favorite director Hans Peter Molland .

He has done two of my favorite movies "Aberdeen" and "Zero
Kelvin" , he is super talented , and he works with the super
talented actor Stellan Skarsgård.
I have not seen this one yet but i plan to.

Filmsm.

did you get to see 2046? If not you should be ashamed of
yourself! :)

I was all ready to see it at the London film festival, then
found out it was sold out, I was gutted :(
