Yo - 'ZILLA' here........(WARP MIX)

Hey hey people........... so damn, i jus found this site
and found lots of crazy nice stuff about Buddy Peace &
myself regarding the Watch And Repeat Play Cd.

Its kinda wierd stumbling across such a large amount of
enuthusiasm about somethng I've/We've done (i'm still
getting used to this all)
But i thought i'd drop a line to say thanks & that i'm glad
people have been enjoying our little rehash project.

If anyone has any questions about anything i'd be glad to
answer them.

Oh and thanks to anyone who has made it down to any of the
tour dates, some have been a bit hit & miss (more due to
promoters than anything we have / haven't done)

thanks again.
D.Y.L / 'ZILLA'

Peace

A lot of people would say the best thing about the Warp DVD
was the mix CD. You'd been set quite a challenge, to live up
to the previous legendary status of the Blech mixes, yet
you've pulled it off marvelously. Perhaps you'd care to let
us in on some of your secrets?

I wouldn't.

I wonder what EggyWabbs would say, though.

your work on the warp mix cd is great; can't stop listening
to it. the diversity of the whole mix cd is brilliant;
leaves itself open for quite a few re-listens without tiring
of repeativeness.

Hey Zilla.

Just wanted to say that I'am a huge fan of work. I have
purchased the Warp DVD just to get the mix cd. But I feel
bad to download the other stuff because I cant find a place
where i could buy any of your releases. Could I buy some
straight from you?

Thanks alot man for the mixes you and Buddy Peace have
created.

dude......
downloading this one is okay with me... not sure what warp
would have to say though, but i'm sure it'll end up on
bleep.com at some point when they've done the 10 000
copies.

Secrets?
No real secrets, just long hours and many ciggies. took
about 3 months to re-edit it all + we went through a few
versions.

Ah yeah the Glasgow gig was ace got my pogo on there for
sure!
We'll be back there for sure! Nice promoters up in there
too.

Was going to repress some of the older mixes (Friendly game
Of Chess & One Foot in the Fire One fist in the air) But i'd
rather spend the time & money on newer things.
There is a site you can d/l One Foot from ...
http://www.d-i-r-t-y.com/index2.html?first=http://www.d-i-r
-t-y.com/mixes/
Its billed as 'Solid Steel' and is about 15 minutes shorter
then the cd though.

The track........ without listening to the mix i'd probably
guess your thinking of Nightmares On Wax although the name
of the track doesn't spring to mind its on Warp Classics on
disc 2(with some beats from LFO under it). It was sampled
for the remix of Hold Dat.

thanx, and once again the mix is definitly nice as hell, mad
props.

aha, now I now why u used the track...its Nightmare On Wax,
they used the same sample as Dangermouse used on the track
"Take Care of Business feat. J-Zone" from their album Ghetto
Pop Life out on LEX RECORDS.

Zilla is it possible to get the "One Foot" mix in mp3 format
some where, i listened to that mix there and its awesome. I
would love to listen it on my cd player or on my ipod.

excellent mix, the "one foot".

Naaa, don't think One Foot is on mp3 anywhere. Maybe
Soulseek?
I was planning to put a site up with various D/Ls on there
but i've only got as far as a front page (don't really have
any cash to pay someone to do it & i don't have the
knowledge to do it myself!)

JAroen> WATCH AND REPEAT PLAY

problem
