Neuron computers?

Well I think this is how it will go anyways. With the
physical limitations of developing nanotechnologies, I see
that it would be much easier to use already existing
materials; cellular material and DNA. Weird stuff.

I didn't read the article, but no chance. Neurons are big
and slow very basic computational units--I've heard they're
just a linear function of their inputs, with some
threshholding. What's really interesting and powerful about
the brain is the inter-communication, which we haven't
cracked at all.

nanotech isn't really that impossible on the physical level,
its more our economy supporting development of that kind of
technology. this neuron stuff isn't something i find myself
able to buy into, but it is interesting.
