10g-15g for a light trip, anything over that gets rather
weird and melty quite rapidly, for me anyway. I was tripping
with some friends last night actually, i found a turtle
under a cushion, but then somebody told me it was a bag of
crisps.

Anyway, there seems to be a bit of confusion over the
classification of truffles / philosopher's stones, some
places call them psilocybe cubensis like they were
some kind of pre-sprouted mexican shroom, and some places
call them psilocybe tampanensis, as if they were
another variety entirely.

A quick google turned up this site, which says
5-9g is a normal trip (not enough truffles to really get you
anywhere in my experience). Which only adds to my confusion.
And no matter what anyone tells you, they taste every bit as
minging as other shrooms.

what seriously annoys me in this thread is the varied use of
dry as well as wet weight dosages. who said he took 40
grams? if he's saying 40 dry grams, he's bullshitting us, if
he means 4 grams dry, he's overreacting because thats no
huge dose.

imo, using dry weight is the way to go. maybe because i'm
used to it on the shroomery.

anyway, those truffles are not cubensis but indeed
tampanensis, which is indeed an entirely other variety.
