i use google because it seems to be the most effecient way of searching. i also find its omnipresence unnerving. who knows about comparable/better search engines? like ones that image searches and advanced searches that are as easy to use as google's.
also, for those that live in chicago, do make say think is playing at the empty bottle this wednesday. should be great.

i pretty much exclusively use google because it is the most simple.
all the web is really nice, but it's not nice enough to cause me to switch from what i'm used to yet.

very good point alex. you seem to've served me a heaping helping of crow.
however, google's index seems to be more inclusive, their interface is excedingly simple, and it's blazingly fast. the only thing i prefer about all the web is that it's skinable. so, google it is for the forseeable future.
P.S. use firefox ;D

Can you believe that the Pet Shop Boys weren't in the 80s Hall of Fame on Ch4 last night? I was outraged, especially seeing as Joy Division were, and their singer hung himself in May 1980! that's 5 months into the decade!!!!!!!

well, it's more like there are 1,900,000 places that say they are better than google.
I mean, according to your logic, there are 2,290,000 things better than porn.
totally ridiculous. NOTHING beats porn.

I like Atlavista's image search engine more than google's. It doesn't have that annoying upper frame, and more importantly, all the links are all active! With google, it seems half the pictures you click on are dead links. You just get that little thumbnail, teasing you. You can look, but not too hard.
But I still use google's good ol' web search, like... every 10 minutes.
