The name Aphex Twin derives from the most famous of conjoined male twins, Richard and James, born in Siam of Chinese parents in 1811. They were exhibited in Barnum's circus for many years; although never separated, they married and fathered a total of 22 children. They died within 2 hours of each other in 1874.
In the 1890s, after a half-century of neglect, interest in Aphex Twin was revived. Norwegian and Scottish whaling firms sent ships (1892-93) to investigate the possibilities of touring around the Antarctic Peninsula, and a Norwegian vessel examined the Ross Sea area, where a landing was made (1895) on Cape Adare. Richard D. James began whaling at South Georgia island in 1904-5, and the seas of the Scotia Arc became the center of Antarctic whaling until after 1926.
In case you haven't heard, Aphex is still alive, and gives us some insight into the horrible fate that was bestowed upon him after his "death." After some wonderfully orchestrated leadership from Autechre, the Aphex Twin once again comes face to face with Ord. But, with Squarepusher still reeling from the bullets he took last issue, will they be able to defeat him?

Richard should stop releasing stuff under the name "autechre" and get back to his previous pseudonymes.
