There was on old house track loosely based on this, called
"sueno latino." It was really good. Never heard the original
though.

it's apparently really famous.. pitchfork listed it as one

Yes, Sueno Latino "borrowed" a sample from this original for
their house track "Sueno Latino" Manuel Gottsching did also
a track for them. You are right deespace9mm, the remake of
Sueno Latino is as good as the original, only the original
is 60 min. long :) One long trip to heaven... i can
recommend you all E2-E4. Here's a link to Discogs:

btw: Derrick May did some Sueno Latino remixes which are
very, very good. Carl Craig did the same...
So, first there was Manuel Gottsching with his e2-e4, Sueno
Latino did a remake of e2-e4 (Paradise Version of 10 min.
with house beats, female voices) and a few versions more.
And at the end Derrick may gave us 3 sublime remixes of
Sueno Latino :)
