U2 is one of those bands that everyone talks about how
awesome they are... and, i agree that they have a few
totally awesome songs, but i really don't understand why
they are as popular as they are because most of there stuff
is only mediocre.

sting is another.

because most people are mindless drones that just ebb along
with the flow.

maybe your opinion isn't the only one that matters...

I think U2 are awesome, and the new single is nice... can't
wait to hear the new album... and hopefully it'll be better
then the shit that All That You Can't Leave Behind was...
even the name of that album sucked...

they haven't been good since zooropa.
vertigo is mediocre, better than anything on the last album,
but it sounds like a cover of a hives song or something.

I like U2, they're like a positive aspect of globalisation,
they bring us all that bit closer.

Yeah, the Murakami book is da shit.

As is "Miami" and pretty much entirety of POP, not to
mention Passengers.

Too bad they fell off.

Pantalaimon, is that Jake in your Avatar?

at one time, Bono wanted Don van Vliet/Captain Beefheart to
play harmonica on a U2 record, so he sent him a note
asking.

Van Vliet didn't reply till years later.

Bono received back a small note that said:

"Dear Bonzo, I have no idea who you are or what your music
sounds like".

ha ha!
