You sir should've been included with ecnad and sneakattack
in my thread. I apologise now for this stupid and glaring
omission of mine.

I'm not saying Elusive is a bad guy, and I know a lot of the
arguments that arise stem directly from him being unable to
make himself clear, but fuck me, just try to write your
ideas down vaguely coherently.

By thinking your ignorant is proof that you're not ignorant
in the wya that you think you are. How wonderful!

if it really bothers you, start reading, start seeing films,
etc.

it's not that hard, really.

that really is an untruth.

if you can use the internet only marginally well you should
be able to find quite a few torrent-sites that can cater you
in downloading films.

granted, it's hard to find torrents for older films, such is
the nature of the internet, but it can be found.

delirium-vault.com, for example, specializes in non-mainstream
torrents.

Don;t fret nacco. An expert is someone that knows a alot
about very little. Most of my friends are doctors or phd
students. They know loads about what they study but about
others things outside their fields they are ignorant.

You sound depressed dude. You have to see that light at the
end of the tunnel!

Oh, I just came back from my long awaited holiday. In the
end I went to Mallorca. It was fucking boomin'!!

yeah, but that's exactly what nacmat is saying - he knows a
lot about his subject, architecture, but not a lot outside
of it.

and it is exactly that which is bothering him.

Yup, but I just don't think his predicament is unique. The
amount of info out there is so vast that even jus tbeing
able to scratch the surface is an achievment let alone being
able to have an indepth knowledge of several areas of it. I
just dont; think he should be getting hung up over it.

It;s good to see he appreciates his situation it proves he
is not an arrogant cunt unlike some people who claim to know
stuff when they really only know a few cursory pointers in
the subject.

I know about cinema... I mean I whatch a lot of movies
always, and good movies

but another problem I got here is the language... I cannot
express what I know with my poor english... I can keep a
normal conversation but I can not dive deep into a subject

My Korean CS teacher had the same problem. His english was
really skechy. So to compensate, he would bring in props to
class and use really good illustrations and analogies. You
might try doing the same.

Nacho, Nacho, Nacho... just do what everyone else does -
learn a couple of choice Nietzsche quotes - they're good for
all kinds of situations - and maybe some William Blake -
he's short and easy to read most of the time - go see one or
two snooty films and have some of that terrific Spanish cafe
con leche afterwards and try to work in one of the Nietzsche
or Blake quotes. Congratulations, you're one of us!

Alternately, my wife and I are planning to travel to
Barcelona within a year - you're in Barcelona, right? - and
I'll be available to kick some sense into your head.

sometime i thought the same about me, dear nacmat... eheh,
so this is a common thing.
you're not ignorant and i'm not ignorant, then remember when
we were 14/15 years old, internet didn't exist (so neither
soulseek, allmusic.com, amazon.com, xltronic, etc...)
have an idea about how many things you can understand today
around the web (about music or other)?

we come from another generation nacmat but we're very cool
:)

" I am 28, which means I am older than 90% of people here"

the thing that worries me is that im not in those 90%...

i'm in these 90% but i don't think that I'm less ignorant
than you, nacmat.
and this worries me.
such thoughts disturb me, sometimes more - to the extent
when i can't sleep, sometimes less.

but it's useless, since it doesn't worry you anymore:)

I find art and music appealing, because it reflects parts of
my personality, and I can incoporate it into my thougt
process, which makes me a better person I think. You have to
know yourself, to know what you like of course.
Art, music, literature, in itself are just variations of the
same question, the question of who we are, and how we can
define ourself through the arts.

Nacco: I thought I knew a bit about architecure until I came
across "Casa de Retiro Espiritual" by Ambasz. How much can
you tell me about it?

offline Monoid from one source all things depend on 2004-10-11 05:34 [#01359021]

And you don't have to read a lot of books. Most of them are
just variations of same concept. Drama, Romance, Satire etc
etc, just with another set of charckters.
How many writers are still stealing from shakespear plays
today ? Huh ?
You wont find that many original ideas, in art, and
literature, everything is just a copy of a copy, like an
Andy Warhol painting, dont believe the hype
