hey everyone, i'm at the local library in Burton-on-Trent and i thought that maybe someone would be interested to read about how i'm getting on here. unfortunatly things aren't too great :( since i got here last Friday i've been thwarted left, right and centre with all and any attempts to get a job here: temporary agencies want a either a passport, drivers licence or utility bill for proof of address - since i am at a temporary address and cannot provide a bill in my name, i'm fucker. i've tried to be seen at the local Citizens Advice Bureau, but every day that i've gone there i have either waited hours and not been seen, or they're closed because people are off sick. i have nearly £300 of bills to pay in about two weeks, and i have maybe £400 in the bank. once it's gone, it's gone. on the other hand though, even with everything that's happening i had a particularly nice birthday on Tuesday :D my girlfriend and her friends took me to Pizza Hut for dinner (very very very very great, because i love Pizza Hut!). i must have eaten the equivalent of 2 large deep pan pepperonis! my girlfriend bought be Geogaddi, Incunabula and the latest Jean Michel-Jarre CD/DVD Aero. she also got me one of those Alien & Predator Movie Maniacs figure sets, lots of chocolate and things. and today with my birthday money i bought Confield and Draft 7.30 (it IS my birthday money after all, i at least deserve to treat myself) anyways, i really am missing participating here - hopefully i'll be back soon, and i will check in occasionally whenever i can. everyone take care ok? the music i've been listening to has been reminding me of you all you are great people |
