Maybe it's just mood swings? Don't overanalyze and label the situation to make yourself look completely victimized and helpless.. I know where you've been, and it's no fun - but continually thinking about depression in this recursive loop is not going to make things any better, right? Anyway, point is that if you are seriously experiencing manic depression (or think you are), go see the doctor and find some solution you could try out. If you're just sad, don't let it get out of hand and basically bring down everything around you. My two cents... |

I've honestly thought about going to the bars alone. I dont think it'll be that bad, aside from the fact that I'll end up totally drunk. I'll try it sometime. I know when to stop though, its all about self control. |

I agree. Sometimes it's tricky to strike up a conversation or even say "hello" to a complete stranger, but when they do reply and aknowledge your existence it can warm a tired and cold heart (your own). |

I think its funny that people will go around demanding attention, and due to those magic "warning signs" that popped up in the 80's, everyone who craved attention got it by threatening everything but suicide. It managed to accomplish nothing other than discrediting a bunch of people that were seriously considering suicide. My advice would be to try to find attention somewhere else, and leaving the round about suicide threats to people who are seriously considering suicide, so they can be lead to the resources that they need for the help that they truly need. Of course, if you are a serious suicide risk, you should make a point of immediately going out and finding a meaningfull means of distraction untill the depression is over. That is what I usually do. |
