Well, theres's autechre, boards of canada, bogdan raczynski,
mu-ziq, venetian snares, fennesz, prefuse73, matmos... but
there's plenty to find besides the "big" names like aphex
and the above.

I'd suggest using the search function if it wasn't so
definitively broken.

you gotta donate some cashola to become a premium member.

then you can post pictures, have access to phobia's
recordsaq, and you can post in the secret forum.

Yeah, good thing abstractive isn't a word.

If stripped naked is a she, I wouldn't think she would like
Autechre anyways. (See thread 131138 "Autechre and gender

I like stuff like Nude Dimensions. The Naked Label is pretty
good. My friends know more than me so i thought i would do
some research. I heard an aphex song off of the MTV's AMP cd
that i got from a friend.

I also heard a CD called Mushroom Jazz that was pretty good.
I forgot who did it though.

Also last time i checked Victoria is a girls name. My user
name is a reference to the naked label!

I think the problem is the fact that you are female and you
have the word "naked" in your username. We are drooling,
porn-addled, interweb-addicted, modem-noise-loving geeks,
and hence most of us will never be able to imagine you as
anything but naked, slippery and spreadeagled.

A word of warning: don't post any pics of yourself. Half of
xltronic will probably pass out and break the internet.

I'd say stick with Aphex Twin, then go alpahbetically to
B12, Black Dog, Balil, Brothomstates, Bochum Welt, Boards of
Canada... then Christ, Claro Intelecto, Caustic Window..
well you get the idea. I think the best bands are in the
A-B-Cs...

i recommend you have a look at the Warp Records website, and
browse some artists....

my favourite artist apart from Aphex Twin (actually, i like
them both as much) is Squarepusher, he's a former bass
player and puts jazz influence in his albums (sometimes
almost none, in his album "Go Plastic", sometimes it's even
more jazz than electronic, in his album "Music Is Rotted One
Note" [my favourite by the way]... maybe for a first album i
would recommend "Hard Normal Daddy").. anyway he does varied
stuff and sometimes excellent : )

Autechre is very weird and original electronic music, which
can be really nice but it's definitely not something
everyone likes.... it can also take some time to be
appreciated. their earlier releases are more melodic and
easier to get into. i like a lot the "Anti" EP, and for
albums "Amber" (for their earlier style) and "Confield" (for
their later style).

Plaid is more poppy electronic music, but very nice. i
recommend "Not For Threes" especially, one of the best
albums by Warp in my opinion.

another artist which is very popular on Warp Records is
Boards Of Canada... mellow stuff. you may want to give them
a try, lots of people love them here, but i personally think
they're overrated and don't deserve all the attention they
get.

* "my favourite artist apart from Aphex Twin....." -
my favourite artist on Warp Records, i mean, of
course.

...still on Warp, there is an album by Seefeel called
Succour, which is one of my favourite records to play at
night... if you like ambient music.

other non-Warp electro artists i like:

Future Sound Of London (hard to describe ' _ ' some would
classify them into ambient, "Lifeforms" is a great album and
sort of ambient, but really i'm not sure. "We Have
Explosive" is much more like techno. and their latest album,
"The Isness", is nothing at all like their other
releases, it's closer to psychedelic pop ^^)

Bola: spacey trippy soft beautiful music. (and with great
artwork...)

Ken Ishii: japanese techno

Susumu Yokota: japanese ambient-esque beautiful music

Underworld

...
