I do like the Aphex Twin's Boy/Girl song!

Boards of canada is still quite up there with me.

Thanks guys!

What kind of music is this?

Some would classify it as IDM (Intelligent Dance Music,
however IDM has been officially declared 'gay' and
'pretentious')

Its just a mixture of all sorts of things. I recommend you
starting out with the PolyWave EP, then Pink Tank EP.

OH and you'd prolly really like Stemwave "Borne" which you
can find here. Its quite varied so if you dont
like one track try the next.

Ok cool! Thanks for the tips! I'll check it out over the
next week or so (slow connection) then i will post in here
again.

corticalstim, you must be another one of those people that
come to a music realted site but post nothing about music
and/or contribute nothing but smartass pointless comments?

Why not contribute? I'm sure you came here because of an
interest in music. You must have an idea as to something
that i may potentially find interesting. No?

corty is a cool guy. I'm sure hes just having a temporary
mood swing or something, i dunno...

You have to realize though, if you're gonna survive here,
dont take anything to heart. We are a bunch of sarcastic
overly-witty dorks with a dark sense of humour. But when you
get to know us we're just big huggable teddy bears.

i would recommend

edIT - crying over pros for no reason

from planet mu records - another big name in the electronic
music field.

welcome aboard anyway! :)

"We usually chat there."

yeah right. only chatting i heard in there was some
nonsensical sentence about a red toaster, and it was meant
to go in another chat room. that's no chat room, you're
better off in the 'christian underground' room.

I was going to say bleep.com is the place to go if you
want to listen to samples of this type of music. Some
initialising track suggestions that I am suggesting:

µ-ziq - Hasty Boom Alert
Chris Clark - Diesel Raven
Squarepusher - Journey To Reedham

hmm...is that a bit unclear? you told this female to join
the aphextwin.nu chat room and i was just commenting on how
little chatting actually goes on there. also a comment you
made in there, something along the lines of "and that's what
i was saying about red toasters. they're pretty much
identical"..."oops wrong room", ring any bells?

Sometimes there is chatting but it depends on the time of
the day, it doesnt hurt to ask "anyone have abb5?" because
you never know who is on.

yeah i posted that in slsk. I dont understand how that is
remotely relevant. Kind of amusing though

i guess i go there at the wrong times. not supposed to be
relevant really, just pointing out (in my experience) that
is pretty much what the chatting in there amounts to.

True.

Alot of times it is really quiet. But i've been in there
later in the evenings here and it appears more useful.
Depends whos on
