that brutal voice! awsome release!!

Tom Waits is one of the most influential musicians in the
world today, an artist who never rests on his laurels. He
continues to re-invent music, push boundaries and create new
sounds. On Real Gone, the up tempo tracks are some of the
rawest and most kinetic he's ever laid down...He's never
sounded like he's had this much fun...while the ballads are
among his most beautiful and even chilling at times. Real
Gone also contains his first overtly political song, "The
Day After Tomorrow", a plaintive letter home from a young
soldier in the middle of a war. Taken as a whole, the
experience is breathtaking.

from amazon or whatever but it is accurate i think

i've not been a huge fan either up to now. I'd definitly
recommend 'alice' and 'real gone', maybe the latter hasn#t
been released yet. if you are on slsk then check out 'hoist
that rag' off the latter for example.

"real gone" is officially being released on the 4th of
october.

I'm picking up my copy tomorrow.

mr. Waits is playing three dates here in the Netherlands and
I wanted to go and see him.

then.. I saw the prices.

they almost made me vomit.

cheapest seats cost 80 euro's. yes, that's $99.

best seats cost 98 euro's. yes, that's $121.

absolutely proposterous prices. >:(

I don't think so.

I love the man's music but I'm not paying 80 euros. that's
just fucked up.
