I worked as a relay operator at MCI over the summer. I was an IP Relay Operator, which means all day I would relay Nigerian scam calls. 419eater.com is our way to vent (because we are supposedly bound by an agreement of confidentiality to never talk about calls, albeit most are fraudulent). As a RO, I've had to relay full addresses in Lagos, Nigeria, and relay entire scam conversations. Nearly all of these calls entailed the scammer attempting to trick businesses into shipping "mens yellow gold chains" to Nigeria on a stolen credit card. Man, that was a crazy job. |
