i've just been assaulted because i was wearing a long black
coat.

i need to leave Widnes, and therefore will not have access
to the net.

i will be sad to have to leave this community - i have had a
lot of fun reading and participating in threads here.

i hope to be able to return here, but the way things are
looking i will probably have to sell a lot of my
belongings.

you are ALL amongst the best people in the world.

don't ever change.

thank you xltronic

Sucks to see you go. Hopefully it's only temporary. They
almost all are.

Can you go into detail as to what happened? Selling
belongings, leaving a home, leaving a board full of such
caring, wonderful, coherent people... what the heck brought
this on?

basically, i saw set-upon just because of the way i dress

i caught some bricks and tree-trunks in my right leg and the
left side of my abdomen.

i have been getting threats and such ever since i moved back
here 3 years ago, and to be honest this has been
inevitable.

i should never have come back.

i have to leave because my family is now in danger (because
they now know what my mom looks like, they may even know
where i live now - they at least know the street), i myself
am in danger also. so i need to move. and because i have to
move, i will have to leave my cable net connection behind
because i'm not gonna be able to transfer it - i've only got
temporary digs at the moment.

i don't want to leave here, i love it here :(

this is the best place in the internet.

yes, we are being harassed because of the way i look, the
music i listen to.....basically because of who i am :(

big

yes it pisses me off too - i'm glad that you can empathize
with my situation, and thank you for your kind words

DeadEight

i have called the police - about 3 hours ago. i haven't
heard from them, but it makes no difference because they
wont do fuck all, this is Widnes - we don't even have a
police station that is manned 24/7 anymore!

It's always been cool to know you're near me. It's a bit of
a shame you are letting some nob have this effect on you.
Was he wearing a tight cap really far back on his head and
riding a two inch tall bike? You're goin to get shit for
however you dress wherever you are. As long as you're sure
you're making the right decision and think that a change in
place is really goin to stop this then good luck man. Hope
it was nothing too scary:|
Take it easy.x

waiting to beat someone up because of how they dressed
yesterday in Manchester. So pathetic

it was three scally bastards, all around about my age, one
of them was wearing a cap in the typical style you
described.

it is scary, because it's been at the point for months where
i'm afraid to leave the house :(

i hope that you don't come across this kind of behaviour,
and thank you very much for your words.

yes, where i will be moving is Burton-on-Trent, and i have
witnessed that people are more accepting there of me

Shit that's really crap. No I tend not to be in any set
"group". I guess I jus dress in a not very imaginative way.
Just jeans and that so I've not really had to experience any
group rivalry or anythin between scallies and my friends. I
suppose the way I dress isn't really all that offensive to
them. I've always thought, once you get above the age of 13,
you should be having some kind of individual thoughts and
these kind of groups should diminish. But there are scallies
of all ages. Scally parents bredd scally kinds. They feed
off each other.
Is your family moving as well or what?

well i'm not part of any group - i dress how i want, but
these bigotted fucking apes seem to think that just because
i sometimes wear a long black coat that i am a goth.

no, my family isn't moving, just me....hopefully they wont
figure out my house number, but they do know what street i
live on....it would probably only take a few questions and
they could find out though :(

I had the kind of thing happen a few years back, some
wankers decided it might be fun to beat me and my mum up.
Fortunately they didn't do a very good job of it because
they were pissed. Anyway, long story short, i'd be doubtful
that your family will get that much hassle, maybe a few loud
kicks to your door if they know where you live, maybe a bit
of shouting in the street, but they get tired of it pretty
quickly, as long as you keep your head down. It isn't nice,
but it isn't life-threatening either.

a) my girlfriend lives there, and i wanted to move there at
some point anyways - i just wanted to be able to get things
all sorted out first, instead of having to "moonlight"

b) it's the only place i've got to go - my dad lives in
Birmingham, but he doesn't wanna know :( i'm not welcome
there anymore it seems

Anywhere a bit bigger is more accepting. I know what I said
bout Manchester but you do see a huge variety of people
there and no one seems to give much of a second glance.
(apart from the twat yesterday. I've never seen it happen
before, maybe he knew him)

it may not be life threatening to my family, but for me it

you know, i would have gotten matrix style glasses, an
intimidating haircut and a gun.

of course youd have to dress up like them goons first to get
the gun, but then you can just walk around in a nice leather
black coat,... no police to stop you anyway

Argh, bad news. Just think of it this way, you get to be
closer to your girlfriend and the scally knobheads you're
leaving behind still have to live in widnes. The
greatest revenge of all.

It sounds to me like you'll be out of a bad place, and i
doubt your family will get anything other than minor hassle,
if that. Good luck anyway man, be sure to come back to The

Oh come on! YOu could do it now. Go out and buy a really
sharp Katana, hide it in your coat. Practice whipping it
out real fast. Then when one of them approaches you
menacingly: *wheeshh*, gash open his chest cavity or
something. Or maybe accross his face, split it open real
nice like.
