I am sure some of you are aware that Ken is being held in
Iraq by al Tawhid and al Jihad with the threat of being
beheaded. His family only live about 10 minutes away from
where I live.

My only question is whether it is being reported in the US
media the fact that the US government have stepped in to
ensure that he has an almost 100% chance of dying?

you have brought down upon yourself the rage of elusive.

It's probably called "the brave rescue mission by the
american heroes" in us news.

No, the Iraqi court system decided that one of the female
prisoners and two male prisoners were to be released on bail
due to the fact they have absolutely no evidence on her. As
the release of the female prisoners was the request of the
group holding Mr Bigley there was a real hope for him. The
Iraqi justice minister made the announcement to the
international press that following a number of hearings
which began before the three hostages were taken they
were being released as part of normal the judicial process.

The US refused to release them, and that puppet twat of a
prime minister they have installed has said that although he
feels they will be released, he has to sanction is and he is
in no rush to do so (he's in New York at the moment living
it up with the senators).

It makes me fucking sick.

i dunno that much about the details, but from what i've
read, a couple of the people the hostage takers have asked
for are somewhere in the process of being reviewed for
release by a process that is/was totally unrelated to this
incident.

but, to give in to this kind of behavior is absolutely the
wrong thing to do. it validates everything they are doing
and undoubtedly causes more of it to happen.

So, the review process reaches its natural conclusion, but
we should let Mr Bigley be beheaded just because they US
government are afraid it is going to be interpreted as them
backing down.

If Iraq is once again a sovereign nation, why the fuck are
the US still having final say on everything going on over
there? It is perfectly obvious the interim Iraqi government
are puppets for the US.

i wasn't aware that it had reached it's conclusion.

yep, the current iraqi administration is definately not
completly soveriegn. there was a huge debate about that
back when the switchover happend. rumsfeld wanted to call
it "partial sovereignty". wtf? there is no such thing.

it would've been much better if we hadn't tried to pretend
they were soverign yet... at least, it would've avoided dumb
arguments over power like this.

Crazy things going on in Iraq, another 15 people killed
including women and children by US forces. Will this ever
end?

What makes me sick is fuckers like Jack Straw and Tony Blair
with their crocadile-tears-style our heart goes out to them
but there's fuck all we can do, attitude. Of course there is
something they can do. They got us into this mess.

I have little hope for Ken Bigley after seeing the barbaric
slaughter of his American counterparts. The only hope now is
if the Jihad mob release him to display that they have some
"humanity". Not very likely.

getting kidnapped and killed is an occupational hazard at
the moment, he should face it like a man.

Whats beyond me is that these terrorists can maintain a
website and sell dvds of the beheadings in Baghdad, and yet
us, with the best secret service in the world, cannot track
these fuckers down. I mean, how much time do they need? Or
we should have our own terror group to fight fire with fire.
