to my initial post)

18.
It felt good to be on my own where I could have a wank in
peace, yet not so good to have to cook my own food. There's
an up and down side to everything.

18-19 dorm. 19-20 apartment with roommate. 20+ (now)
apartment on my own. it keeps getting better -- less people
all the time! by next year even i won't be in the
apartment -- it'll be completely empty all the time. imagine
the privacy.

i had always lived with at least 3 other roomates until i
was 24. i was nervous that i wouldn't like living alone,
but it's totally nice. i don't think i would've dug it so
much at 18 though.

i lived with my parents again for about 2 months and it
nearly drove me crazy.

I'm 21 and I haven't moved out yet, and I don't want to. For
one thing, I'm spoiled and I enjoy it immensely. I could
move out at my leisure and be perfectly fine, but why
bother? I'd only be able to afford an apartment, and I'd
lose some perks. For one, I'm home alone so often right now,
and I listen to music at insane volumes pretty much all day,
something I don't think fellow apartment tenants would
appreciate. It's something I don't want to give up. And I'd
miss extravagant meals and pie/cake.

But I think when the time comes, I might enjoy it. Though I
absolutely do not want a roommate, ever... I can get along
with people, but only grudgingly. I don't like company. I
don't even think it's financially possible right now for me
to truly go off on my own, sans a second party... until
then, I'm going to hold off, for happiness' sake.

other children at the beginning... well, not only at the
beginning - i always had problems with this until lately in
high school, i feel better now : )

Living in a run-down flat where everything is broken and the
aren't enough bedrooms, getting completely wasted every day
with people you barely know, trying in vain to have
completely silent sex, and living hand-to-mouth from the
local 24-hour garage. That's what you're missing. Home
comforts are nice, but living away is much better.

That is Officially Bad, man.

I know i'm not often serious on the Twatty Board Of IDM, but
i wish you all the best, meng. You seem to be a nice guy. I
hope you are having fun times on the continent, anyway. I
won't pretend to understand what your past lifez entails,
but i hope you are OK and fine and all that.

In a rare moment i feel like saying something positive.

Life always seems to throw alot of things my way, my past
was (i am sure as it has been to you guys as well)
difficult. But it is these things that make you who you are.
I have learned alot in my brief twenty years of life. I am
learning alot presently by being in europe. The situation
here is not something i am going to go into detail on
because it dosne't really concern anyone but me and my
girlfriend. I will say that we are enjoying our time with
each other but i will stay positive for the situation to
improved for her. So i am learning and i have learnt.

Anyway that was a bit off topic wasn't it?

Thanks alot for your concern Alex. It means alot.

i moved out at 22, i was getting seriously insane living
with parents, i had to go away

deepspace: u sure dont sound like an 18yr old, u sound very
mature, r u 18 or its a joke?

skink:
"But it is these things that make you who you are"
such a wise and true statement, i just realized that in the
last year, that actually everything u survive thru shapes
and forms yr personality, and im grateful for that, i dont
hate struggle, because it makes u stronger, and u will
benefit from it in the long run if ure smart
