Bad dreams.

Not nightmares, just dreams that make you feel bad and
regretful. Nothing terribly scary with big monsters or
anything.

I would like to know if dreams affect your waking life,
basically. If i have "bad dreamzs" they completely fuck my
day up. I can't think about anything else.

I've had this dream (actually 2 dreams after each other on
the same night) a couple of weeks ago and I still think of
it and feel bad about it. I have REALLY REALLY absurd
dreams.

sometimes. I can have dreams that creep me out after waking
up, but not for very long. not more than an hour, I think.

I had this dream of being slowly crushed by a rain of tiny
metal balls while my father watches me die

It didn't hurt the rain, it was just getting me heavier and
heavier...

I think I'll take oedipus complex for 300 there...

you want to kill your dad and fuck your mother?

what has to do with getting crushed by a rain of tiny metal
balls?

I don't get nightmares at all, just incredibly-realistic
weird dreams that make me feel really awful when i wake up.
I slept today after about 30 hours awake, and i had the most
vivid dreams that i was back together with my ex... she told
me that she still loved me and i said the same, and i was
incredibly happy until i realized neither of us was telling
the truth, and i woke up crying.

I wish i could turn my brain off sometimes. It might be the
inevitable misery-period after munching pillzesz at vsnares
last night, but fucking hell man, that dream was so REAL.

I have this dream of drinking milk in this room next to a
giant machine. I don't know what the machine does, but I
always wake up sweaty.

Or covered in some kind of liquid.

My father that watches me die is a clear metaphor of my
feeling threathened by his power of castrating me in case I
try to have sex with my mother...

And the balls are clearly a phallic symbol representing my
sexual repression caused by the anxiety of having such a
threat on me...

your balls are phallic? a tri repetae penis? Your father
playing around with your testes?

Yes. I've had loads of them, especially when I used to
oversleep as a youngster, I'd dream about repeatedly waking
up. Horrible stuff.

Haven't had one in a while, in fact I'm usually (if at all)
having dreams that are going really well until I wake up and
instantly forget them.

I dream about having philosophical discussions sometimes...

I get pretty good Ideas from those dreams...

I remember dreaming that i was taking a dude in my a-level
english class to a bakery so that he could have a pizza or
something... in the dream he ended up pissing himself in
front of his family (who were working in the bakery for some
reason), and crying. It was so, SO awful. I never looked at
the fellow in the quite the same way. Most dreams i have are
very, very vivid, and if they are Shit and Scary, it leaves
me fucked up for the whole day.

The worst dream I've had is where I willfully did something
that was truly wrong and I hated every bit of it in the
dream and then I woke up really shocked at myself for having
thought of such a thing.

when I was little I used to have nightmares of drilling
everyone i loved eyeballs out (such as my mom, my best
friend, etc). I would wake up screaming and violently
shaking. I would usually have to stay home from school
when it happened and I would get myself so worked up i got
sick anyways.

last night i dreamt that jeffrey dahmer lived in the
apartment below mine (i don't even live in an apartment, so
i don't know what that's about), and his first victim was my
giant guinea pig (in real life, my guinea pig is sized
normally).

I rarely ever have a dream that is not at least moderately
disturbing.

I've been having the kind of drreams you speak of as of late
and I hate them, they'rre worrse than nightmarres. They
plant a thought in my head and often do effect my waking
life in some negative way. When I was having my bad patch a
couple of weeks ago they werre rreally stopping me getting
betterr. When I'd make sense of my irrrrational thoughts
durring the day and make an imprrovement I'd have one of
these drreams and be back to squarre one with irrrrational
thoughts again.

Whoa, freaky dream... it made me think. That's a disturbing
way to go, you'd feel so helpless as the weight getting
heavier and heavier, something inevitable.

I have a recurring dream where I take my face/back of my
head off, like a two piece mask, and examine my bloody skull
in the mirror. And my green eyes are still in the sockets
and very much recognizeable. I can look at my detached,
eyeless face that I placed on the table, and it's horrific.
It's a dream where I'm not in control at all, though...
usually, I don't do many things in my dreams that I wouldn't
do in real life, unless I was forced to or something
extremely cool was happening. But here I was, removing my
face. My mom comes in the room and I quickly pick up the two
halves and slam them together on my head again, and it hurts
like hell as the two meet, and always results in my waking
up.

I always dream about nuclear war, too. I don't think there's
any meaning to these dreams.
