That was probably the best individual effort of the whole
World Cup. I love that kid, he reminds me of a young Jeremy
Roenick. Super talented yet fucking aggressive. And plays in
the Windy City, too.

But you jinxed them, man. Shane Doan, 3-2 Canada.

3-2, it was a great game... I predicted 4-1, but I KNEW it
was going to be tough... and it was even a bit tougher than
I thought. I would have liked to see Saku finally win
something, nobody plays harder than him or deserves it more,
but it wasn't to be. Finland should be proud, though, they
pushed us... USA, Russia, Sweden, the Czechs... most people
thought we'd be facing one of those in the championship.

This was a big win for us (they all are), we've got our
swagger back for good now.

I'm glad Lemieux said he does NOT want this tournament to be
his last play in international competition. Awesome. He's
old but he still scares the shit out of opposing defences.

i'm happy that Canada won... but i don't even know how
Brodeur can even do the little jumpy thing at the buzzer
anymore... it's just not fair... we have to share up the
championships... i was pulling for the Finnish flames
contingent...
