hi everyone, hope you've all been well! it's time for the first show of this senester. this (10pm-midnight EST, 3-5am GMT) is my timeslot until mid-december, which permits me to use "explicit language" on my show but somehow the magic's been lost since i last had a show of this nature two years ago.. tonight i'm playing brand new music from Bjork, The Roots, and Homeland, oldies from Meiko Kaji, Charles Mingus, Coil, The Verve, Jawbox, and Meat Beat Manifesto, plus µ-ziq, Aphex Twin, Hood, PJ Harvey, Autechre, etc. begins very shortly and will last 2 hours *** (Windows Media Player required) *** anyone who can prove they're listening can get a personal shoutout on air. i'll be here! taking requests for the last few minutes of the show or (more likely) next week.. |

yea beatles, that's one of my favorite by them.. the first 3 years of having a radio show i resisted playing them because everyone's heard so much beatles already but the music's too good to resist. i'll be playing them much more often this year! on now: a late great forgotten indie band, dc's own JAWBOX (covering cole porter). |

it's customary to say what songs you play as this is a real radio station.. people call and ask what was played or complain about the lack of announcements if you don't say it and besides i like for people to know what they're hearing. still i find it annoying too to constantly talk, that's why i only do it a few times per show. yea that r40f thing was fun, it' s so obviously someone online.. |
