sometimes i have a really difficult time not fidgeting...
when i'm really anxious about something... but it's never
lasted for very long i don't think... although often times,
i catch myself doing it, when i don't even realize it...

i am reminded of the song the jitters by the Dismemberment
Plan... that's a pretty song...

I'm not knowledgeable on medicines, but standard
stuff--exercize and good rest particularly--should help.
Maybe a good walk or jog?

Strange. Muscle spasms are funny and goofy, but if you have
a history of this stuff in dire times, that's not good. I
don't like it when my body does things it's not supposed to
do. Ever wake up with a huge jolt?

My right index finger is twitching uncontrollably lately.
Like every 10 minutes... twitch. I've come to the conclusion
that I have Parkinson's and probably brain cancer.

I don't have a historry of it, that's what's scarry. I hope
I don't have something.

my life style is pretty sickly so I get different things now
and then--a healthy period (all components--mental
relaxation, good food, exercize, regular sleep) always
clears it up. If the jitters stay after trying that some,
go to a doctor, though doctors are experts at blowing people
off and/or prescribing medicines to give a sense of doing
something..

I honestly wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm not
worrying about my ''funny finger''. It probably has more to
do with constant mouse clicking anyway. And your ''crazy
legs'' probably have something to do with... uh... I don't
know. Muscles occasionally just like to spasm, just to be
contentious.

Exercise a lot (exercising sucks). Work out the kinks, it'll
be gone in a day or two. It's almost assuredly a silly
muscle thing, not anything neurological or serious.

How many paraplegics or vegetables do you see rolling around
that say ''it started with twitching legs and progressed
into projectile vomiting, etc''? Chill out. Or do something
TOTALLY crazy, like go to the doctor instead of consulting a
bunch of Autechre fans.

you shouldnt be, if these things are happening because of,
uhm, stress or how you call them. there are many worse
things that could cause shakes, you dont wanna know about
them.

so, just think about nice, and nice, and , i dont know,
nice.

offline Anus_Presley on 2004-09-07 00:19 [#01327268]

I think it should go when my worrrry goes, but that's going
to take some mental worrk out.

Well, ''a silly muscle thing'' mixed with your often gloomy
state of mind (much like mine). Your body just does weird
things when you're upset or you've gotten a scare/jolt. No
biggie. They bring out the worst in it.

I've had those before.. just hit it hard with your hand.
Massage the area VERY roughly.. maybe have someone else do
it, since they can't feel the pain, and won't want to stop
from it... things like that come from the nerves, which can
be diverted by rough treatment.
