This album is a really a one-of-a-kinder in my collection... it's some kind of exotic world music done (probably) with a laptop. And of course it's got all the nice pads and synths and whathaveyou. The sounds are all so crisp, especially the percussion, and there's a pretty girl singing and stuff. Or at least I HOPE she's pretty. She sounds pretty. So in addition to recommending this beautiful album, I want to rectify the ''one-of-a-kinder'' label. Anything else ELECTRONIC that you can recommend that really leans towards World Music? Could also be along the lines of the more straightforward Muslimgauze work, as well. This album is seriously hot. |
