yeah okay, this post has no point, start the insults.

The Wire seems to think that it has some amazing trracks,
but a couple that fall a little shorrt. But since it is a
rreview it's prrobably nit-picking.

i think it's one of those albums you need to listen to quite
some times to get into it...i like some tracks as well - the
more dynamic ones, but some just sound a bit crappy.

when i bought it the first few hours it was announced on the
16th, it was 7 pounds, that worked out to 16 canadian,
pretty close to or cheaper to what it will be when it hits
shops here, i reckon it will be 15-20 canadian dollars.
anyways, the next morning, it was up to over 10 pounds.
i dont know why but im glad i bought it when i did. and
yeah, no i didnt buy it from bjork.com, but from the record
shops site onelittleshop.com ...it has been cheaper the
whole time there. infact i think all of bjorks stuff is
cheaper on there rather then bjork.com
oh. i like the cd a lot so far but really havnt listened to
it well. if you dont like bjork to begin with, theres no
reason you would like this lots of neat things like the
chopped up beat boxing from rahzel...awsome

my review per song

- "Pleasure is all mine": vocal harmonies which are nice at
the start but bjorks voice doesn't work well near the end,it
also has lots of breathing sounds which are annoying to me
and it gets more annoying with repeated listening 5/10

- "Show me forgiveness": short Bjork solo track, nothing
here to make it stick in your head 5/10

- "Where is the line"?: very nice vocal bass. this is my
current favourite. It's very weird yet it manages to stick
in your head 9/10

- "Vokuro": relaxed track with vocal harmonies sung in
icelandic, very pleasant 8/10

- "Oll Birtan": multitracked bjork, sounds fun but doesn't
seem to have much substance 6/10

- "Who is it": reminds my of homogenic D&B done with vocals,
this one is one of the more easily accessable song on the
album. good track 8.5/10

- "Submarine": weird droney duet with a male singer. 7/10

- "Oceania": another accessable homogenic like song. very
nice. this will probably be a single 9/10

- "Sonnet/Unrealities IX": relaxing bitcrushed glitchy drone
with bjork singing 6/10

- "desired constellation": acapella song with nice harmonies
7/10

- "ancestors": experimental song with incredibly annoying
breathing sounds 3/10

- "Mouth's cradle": bjork goes glitchy with her vocals here.
good song I like it 8/10

- "Mipvikudags": short experimental song 7/10

- "Triumph Of The Heart": a weird and happy song 7/10

hmm
immediate dispatch, i'm almost tempted = )

but since the pound is expensive, with the shipping cost it
would probably be more expensive than in my local store (and
time isn't that much money...) - no?

id like to get the cd/sacd hybrid too.
i dont have anything of my own to play sacds, but fuck
5.1!
id rip it and mix it down to two stereo pairs and burn a
dual cd type situation and play them both at once. on either
sides of a room.

i don't have an sacd player either.
but as it's a hybrid it shouldn't be a problem. would just
be nice to have the ltd ed packaging etc - particularly as
it's the same price from 101cd.com
