There weren't too many that I knew of but my favorite
collaboration purchase had to be Cylobotnia.. was just
listening to it and I think its all around a great album.
Does anyone concur?

i haven't heard that yet, but i will reserve my judgement
until the following records "drop":

melvins vs. lustmord
melvins vs. jello biafra (x2)

the boards of canada clouddead remix.. not so much a collabo
in the sense you probably intended.. but definately one of
the top three songs of the year (I said that when it came
out in like january).. it almost works better than and is
more coalescent than the original mix

yeah the boc/clouddead song is great, it takes the quirky
vocal and puts it in a much more twisty tune than the
original version

Guitar improv? It'd better be good zaphod...... I'll check
it.. It's technician jazz is it?

well, that was a bit misleading. the musicians on there are
all jazz guitarists/turntabilists/composers, and alot of the
album is samplers and things with improved guitar as well.
otomo yoshihide is an awesome jazz guitarist and the main
reason why i bought the album.

its extremely minimal though, mostly just sine waves and
samplers being manipulated. in fact, its possible there
isn't a recognizable guitar anywhere on this album...so,
yeah. not guitar improv really.

remixes really aren't collaborations

there aren't too many collaborations, although it's popular
amongst the noisemungers.

and the Sixtoo track with Damo Suzuki.
Anybody heard Mike Patton and Rahzel yet?
