actually -- i wouldn't be surprised either -- not because
your taste is bad, but because you like melodic anthemic
stuff.

start with sasha -- xpander

check out paul oakenfold, dj tiesto..

it's kinda bad music, tho.

What is this "anthemic" you speak of? Hey, how do you know
what I like? Do I really spout off my opinions that often?

i am not too fond of trance. but dj george acosta spins some
barely decent stuff. i saw him at zenfest 2 two years ago.

if you're thinking psy trance (which i actually like to an
extent) check out the bisto boys. "Shnarsty" is a good track
- I own the vinyl EP!

yeh,we're thinking of the same genre...i started djing with
minimal psy and gOa.
but i'm not in the mood for listening to it anymore...it
washed off me ages mate.

i did a search on slsk,but 0 hits.

okay. infected mushroom then. bit too crazy for me.

'bust a move' is a fantastic track though

I like Infected Mushroom, try out Acid Killer, Disco
Mushroom... Hallucinogen is also worth a listen. There's a
time and a place for psy trance in everyone's life.

hehe...hallucinogen is kinda kool!
did you know that it a solo project of one of the shpongle
team.
not raja ram,but the euro dewd...forgot his name.

offline Dannn_ from United Kingdom on 2004-08-20 20:36 [#01310570]

Yeah I know, I think Shpongle are credited with creating psy
trance. Hallucinogen was at The Glade playing at the same
time as Squarepusher so I didn't get to see him.

i like that infected mushroom quite a bit after a first
listen...so it's called psy trance?

that other shpongle guy is simon posford...see, i know all
about it :)

On behalf of my best friend Jayne who cannot be here today,
I recomend Hallucinogen.

stay clear of the israeli full-on psytrance, and get into
the swedish progressive sound..ticon, etnoscope...also the
minimal dark psy is good also..spirallianz, the
delta...german stuff usually.

I quite like it....it's happy. none of that boring russian
psy.
that's just a monotone bassline with effects. Juno Reaktor
is quite cool too.

urgh parasense is probably the most boring psy I've heard.

parasense works the bomb in some dark cellar...finnish psy
would work good in the morning in some forest...but
otherwise the finnish psy is badly produced and a mishmash
of ideas with no proper arrangement..
