So, listening to 21 remixes for cash and started to wonder what rdj charges to remix artists, well known or otherwise. He's probably one of the most in demand as far as remixes go, no? I wonder what his fee is for like Madonna or Beck or someone whose got $$$ backing. $5,000...$10,000...$20,000?

he picks the stuff he's going to remix...not the other way around. meaning he doesn't charge anything.

yeah, right.
like when he had to do that remix for the Lemonheads, completely forgot about it and when the guy came to pick it up he just grabbed a random tape and gave it to him.

actually I don't.
but I also don't believe he doesn't do remixes just for the cash. I'm sure he gets enough offers, so he can choose, but he still does most of them because it pays relatively well.
for a lot of electronic music artists, or IDMsters as I like to call them (for obvious reasons), remixes are a great way to actually earn some cash with their music.

if you check 26 mixes there aren't exactly many remixes of "rich" artists, or artists on big labels...i still think he picks the stuff he wants to remix. im sure many would like him to produce their albums as well, but i guess he's just not into it.

that doesn't matter, it still pays pretty well. and I already said I'm sure he gets to pick what he wants to do.
