Clarence Park is not only a park near which I live but it's
also crap. Even Drukqs is more fun than this pseudo tribute
to the 'warp sound'. IDM by numbers....lame.

Chris Clark is powerfully boring.

"empty the bones" is amazing, 'clarence park' sucked big
time.

'drukqs' vs 'empty the bones of you' would be a way better
match.

chris clark vs global goon would have been better, since
both artists suck greatly and should never be mentioned
within the same sentence as him.

although I'm no fan of the whole album, "the dogs" is a
pretty good track.

its the structure of this album that does it

drukqs, it's better, but not by much.
if drukqs was a shofter album and was not such a labyrinth
then maybe, but clarence park = short and sweet, to
the point, does not fuck around. you got to admire that.

i prefer clarence park

i wish druqkskkqks were condensed onto 1 cd

or maybe 1 cd with fast tracks, and 1 with soft tracks

the piano stuff makes it boring

clark executes the harsh/soft thing better imo

non beat based pieces are great , i think , perhaps a few
too many , but they are pretty lush.

the difference is one is derivative and rubbish and one is
very good with a few unnecessary tracks

Druqks with the Lp track order

offline uviol from United States on 2004-08-18 18:25 [#01308706]

I agree that this is kind of a mismatched comparison. I
don't really see any resemblances aside from a couple
scattered piano pieces.
That being said, I love both LPs. Clarence Park is probably
a little more original, Drukqs more intricate. Both have
numerous weak points though.

like david morales...

i love both.
but druqks is the culmination of a sound, an album with the
best tracks ive ever listened to, and clarence a bunch of
really good songs (although the piano ones are shit...).
IMHO.

(special apreciaton note for caveman lament)

please stop with all the variation on lol, it's making me
want to kill you! ;-)

clarence park is not shit but it's not something of higher
originality for sure...
