man... MASSIVE ATTACK is awsome. If you want like spooky good old bassy stuff then you want Mazzenine.... which is totally awsome. If you want like chillin more upbeat jazzy styles then youd like BLUE LINES.. their first release. The protection album they did is good as well. But not as good as the other two. Hey, Woofer if you like TripHop and you haven't already checked out the SNEAKER PIMPS, or PORTISHEAD, then do so! They are awsome. especially postishead.

yeah, mezzanine is by far the best..for the elizabeth fraser tracks, the thumping basslines (especially angel's insane bassline) while protection is alright, but a little all over the place

note of advice : If any of you remember a little movie called "fifth element" you might remember a black guy with a british accent (the one who works for "zorg"),.. that guy IS massive attack,.. don't know how does all the fem. singing though

I like Track 4 and 7 best on mezzanine
I think the Fem singing is simply guest singers or something. its not like theire in the band. its almost a different singer for each track
what part does that white creepy looking guy have in massive?

yeah isnt tricky in 5th element (he used to be in massive attack, his new solo stuff is shit currently) the female singers are always different each album, which makes ma albums interesting, though liz will be on the next one, along with damon albarn, david bowie, etc.

I heard the girl -Martine I think her name was- who sang on Tricky's first and second solo albums, maybe more, is releasing an album. Unfortunately I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment ( huff)

About Mezzanine, my favourite song is track 4.
[REFLEX]: I know Portishead and Sneaker Pimps. Thery're good band, but I prefer Massive Attack.
If you like Massive Attack I suggest to you the following names: TERRANOVA and HOOVERPHONIC (especially the first album, it's great).
Everybody try to download track 5 (Barabas) and track 8 (Sarangi), about Hooverphonic, it's are awesome!

WooferAttack(?) Massive vs. Mad Professor wasn't so impressive, or it just didn't hit me. I only listen it twice or so. Don't waste your money on that.
The Blue Lines has the best Massive's song, Unfinished Symphony. It gives me goosebombs. But the best record is Mezzanine. That record is good entity.
Has somebody listen to Jimi Tenor? He does electricmusic, kind of jazz influences in it. His one of my favorite finnish musicians.
It was nice to know that there is a lot of people who listen to same kind of music as I do.

To all you guys reading girlygrin, don't get her wrong. Sure the vs. Mad Professor album ain't for everyone, but I do think it is pretty amazing. Mezzanine as well.
To all those who care- Q awarded the Vs. Mad Professor album as one of the best 5 albums in the world that is influenced by Marijuana. If you like the Prodigy as well as Massive Attack then it is pretty likely you'll like Leftfield's Rythm and Stealth. Has anybody heard any other Leftfield album/s. I am pretty new to them, have known about them for ages but never bothered to listen. It sounds abit more mainstream influenced but there are definitly some quality sounds on there.

Mezzanine is my favourite album, followed a close second by Blue Lines. The Mad Professor remix album is amazing, much better than Protection, finally 100th window...so that is how their releases line up as far as my preferences go.
My fave single of theirs though is a track called 'home of the whale', heard that one ?
