From Darkhorizons.com:
The Drudge Report has announced that the marionette
comedy movie "Team America: World Police" from the creators
of "South Park" and which pokes fun at global terrorism, is
raising a few eyebrows and temperatures within the Oval
Office.

"I really do not think terrorism is funny, and I would
suggest Paramount give respect to those fighting and
sacrificing to keep America safe" said one Bush advisor this
weekend about the film which opens just two weeks before the
presidential election.

Another advisor apparently fumed after seeing the recent
trailer - "This is just unconscionable. Not funny".
Co-Director Trey Parker answered the claims though, saying
"Bush is not even in the film. I would ask that people wait
and see it, before passing a judgement".

I never liked those puppets on a string, but finally this
will turn my opinion upside down

Originally, Trey Parker and Matt Stone obtained a copy of
the script for "The Day After Tomorrow" and they wanted to
do a scene by scene parody of it using marionettes. and
they were going to release it on the same day as the real
movie.

but Matt Stone was quoted as saying in Variety:

"We thought would have been hilarious but our lawyer
convinced us we wouldn't get it released."
